June Update from Gilson Bailey

Since the easing of lockdown in May 2020 the property market has continued to thrive throughout 2021 so far, and despite many peoples predictions the prices have even increased further this year. With the re-introduction of the 5% mortgages and the number of first time buyers we have seen the biggest demand in NR3 Victorian terraces at Gilson Bailey. These houses have also always been a very reliable investment so are popular for buyers looking for a buy to let as well.

Over the last couple of months we have sold numerous terrace houses and we are proud to continue to be the market leader in the area. Many properties are going for over the asking or guide price and are having to go to best and final offers from each party to secure their dream home.

Because the area is a real thriving community and offering a fantastic place to live, we often find people are reluctant to leave, so after selling a terrace home look to stay with in the area and upsize to either a bigger hall entrance terrace, or a larger family home in the St Clements Hill and Wall Road area. We listed a beautiful, extended 3 bedroom semi on Elm Grove lane back in April with the majority of viewers living in the terraces between Silver Road and the Sprowston Road area.

NR3, has been commonly known as “North City” and has been living up to its tag of the “silver triangle” especially over the last few years with its new found vibe to include fantastic local pubs which many have been done up over recent years and attract locals and people from all over Norwich to regularly attend, and new coffee shops which the area was crying out for. There is also good schooling, Mousehold Heath, many local shops and mini supermarkets, and easy access into the city on foot or via public transport. All of these amenities make this area a fantastic part of Norwich to live in for all age groups!

If you are looking to sell or buy a property in the NR3 area please get in contact as we have so many people looking in the area.
